The Medicine Wheel Meeting is looking for support and they may not continue to exist if they cannot attract more AA people to come and participate in their AA Circle. All AA’s to come and participate in a "culture-based"12 step AA Circle that reflects the compatibility between AA and the Indigenous culture and identity.

It is unfortunate that two of the Original-founding members are both in hospital, with Dan S. and his amputation, who has been hospitalized since Easter 2015. Mary Lou S. is in the Hospital with double pneumonia in both lungs coupled with a lung infection. Mary Lou went through several tests and they found that she does NOT have TB (tuberculosis), which they were relieved to diagnose.

Mary Lou is presently in Parkwood Hospital D-6 in room #406B until April 20th. Mary Lou and Dan will be discharged on the same date.

Dan or Mary Lou will be present on Tuesday nights to welcome all AA membership to our AA Circle that has been carrying the message for the past 19 years. Let's sit down together and share the Medicine of "One Alcoholic sharing to another Alcoholic the experience, strength and hope of this program".

We call this medicine "Ganohkwra" which means "Medicine" in the Iroquois language family (It is pronounced "Han-Oh-Kwah"). This is the Springtime of the next Cycle of Creation, and we want to experience the "new life energy" of new beginnings, which surrounds us, at this special time of the year.

The grass chutes, the buds on the trees, the baby squirrels, the baby songbirds and  even the waters are being renewed and recycled. The beauty of the 'Spring Bulbs" will be blooming soon to reflect the Beauty of LIFE and our Life Support System which sustains us – Welcome.
